Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end transportation planning, including mode selection, load optimization, and schedule alignment across shipping locations.
  • •Develop strategies balancing service levels, cost, and capacity for inbound, outbound, and intercompany freight.
  • •Use TMS and route optimization tools to improve visibility, planning accuracy, and efficiency of freight movements.
  • •Source, contract, and manage carriers (truckload, LTL, and specialized modes) and monitor carrier KPIs to address service failures.
  • •Oversee freight payment processes (invoice validation, accrual management, cost allocation) and drive freight cost audits, reporting, and controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • •8–10+ years of progressive transportation operations experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing fleet and carrier-based transportation networks.
  • •Strong knowledge of TMS platforms, routing software, and transportation analytics tools, plus freight payment and financial reporting experience.
  • •Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, with strong leadership and communication skills.
