Job Summary

Lead a distributed team of Solutions Architects across India as a player-coach, shaping technical strategy throughout complex sales cycles. Run technical evaluations, executive workshops, demos, and proof-of-concepts to map the DevSecOps platform to customer business outcomes. Partner with regional go-to-market and cross-functional teams (Sales, Channel, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product) to align priorities, build scalable operating practices, and drive hiring, development, and performance across the region.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a team of intermediate and senior Solutions Architects across India, setting direction and enabling execution.
•Act as a player-coach on strategic opportunities, building executive relationships and coaching through complex sales cycles.
•Guide regional strategy for technical evaluations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
•Partner cross-functionally with global Solutions Architecture, Sales, Channel, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to align on priorities and execute regional goals.
•Drive operational discipline including workload planning, resource and headcount planning, opportunity forecasting, KPI tracking, and hiring/development/retention.

•Strong communication and technical presentation skills across technical and business stakeholders and across cultures.
•Ability to travel in line with business needs and GitLab's travel policy.
