Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply advanced knowledge of the federal hiring and onboarding process to support and advise the NSWCDD HR office in compliance with federal policies.
  • •Lead and oversee staffing and hiring activities, tracking applicant status, evaluating progress, and making recommendations.
  • •Use SharePoint (or other systems) to manage hiring workflows and ensure data accuracy.
  • •Review, interpret, and validate employee employment records in DCPDS and oversee processing of personnel actions for new hires and current employees.
  • •Manage the onboarding lifecycle and support New Employee Orientation (NEO), including HR materials planning and responding to complex employee HR inquiries.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold and maintain an active DoD-issued Interim-Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • •Associate degree in Human Resources (or related business field), or 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • •At least 1 year of experience in HR recruitment, onboarding, training implementation, and program management (2+ preferred).
  • •Proven ability to work independently, exercise discretion, manage priorities, and make informed decisions as an HR subject matter resource.
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
