Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the overall technical operations of assigned vessels, including daily maintenance and repair, budgeting, and survey scheduling.
  • •Ensure vessels operate safely and efficiently in compliance with class and statutory regulations and maintain classification and survey status reporting.
  • •Oversee planned preventive maintenance, including operation and reporting of the vessels’ Planned Maintenance System (Engine Dept.) within the QA system.
  • •Supervise service repairs using approved subcontractors, ensure timely completion within operational budgets, and keep vessel repair/docking information updated in the PMS system.
  • •Coordinate technical matters with Vessel Masters/Chief Engineers and customers, oversee installations and certification of third-party equipment, and contribute to tender documents and technical service provider appraisal.

Key Requirements

  • •Unlimited STCW ’95 Chief Engineer’s license (Motor) for sea-going vessels, or an engineering degree/diploma in mechanics/electromechanical engineering.
  • •Minimum 2-3 years’ shore experience in a similar position or 2-3 years’ sea-going work as Chief Engineer.
  • •Experience on AHTS / Offshore Supply / Offshore Tug / Dive Support Vessels / PSV or Construction Vessels.
  • •DP vessel experience is highly advantageous.
  • •Familiarity with ISM/ISPS, and knowledge of Planned Maintenance System or project management software.
