Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide plumbing subject-matter expertise and support supervision for other trades as needed.
  • •Provide front-line leadership to site represented plumbing trades including instruction, project management, timekeeping, training, safety toolbox talks, and safety evaluations/JHAs.
  • •Ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, Massachusetts Plumbing Code (248 CMR), applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and RTX safety policies.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, capital improvement projects, and contractor activities to minimize operational disruptions.
  • •Cover off-hours events and communicate/collaborate with team members, management, security, EHS, internal customers, and the bargaining unit.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of facilities maintenance and construction experience across multiple trades, plus a bachelor’s degree in Operations/Facilities/Business or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • •Active Massachusetts Master and Journeyman Plumbing licenses.
  • •Working knowledge of fire protection systems including wet & dry sprinkler systems and specialty suppression.
  • •5+ years of supervisory/lead/management experience directing skilled trades in a union and/or industrial environment.
  • •US citizenship required and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance (DoD Secret).
