Job Summary

Conduct investment and organizational due diligence on funds and asset managers across Greater China and ASEAN. Key Responsibilities

•Conduct investment due diligence on funds and strategies across Greater China and ASEAN, forming independent evidence-based views on performance, risk exposures, drawdowns, liquidity, and peer positioning.
•Conduct organizational due diligence on asset managers, assessing operating platforms and control environments including governance, people, DR, BCP, cybersecurity, trading, operations, and cash/control.
•Produce high-quality research outputs such as due diligence notes, monitoring updates, and presentations with clear conclusions, key risks, and recommended actions.
•Maintain oversight of market and product developments (e.g., ESG, tokenization, digital assets) and translate intelligence into implications for product shelf design, client suitability, and governance.
•Collaborate with HSBC teams and external managers to obtain timely information, challenge appropriately, and support consistent outcomes across regions and channels.

Key Requirements

•3–5 years’ experience in the Funds/Asset Management industry or closely related fund research/selection with rigorous analysis and sound judgement.
•Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, including regional product structures/regimes across Greater China and ASEAN.
•Advanced analytical capability with excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills to articulate independent opinions.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of fund research tools such as Morningstar and Bloomberg.
•Fluent English and Mandarin (written and spoken); CFA/FRM beneficial.
