Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct technical review of electrical equipment sizing, specifications, technical datasheets, and bid/vendor documents (e.g., GIS, switchyard equipment, transformers, busduct, MV/LV switchgear, cables, UPS, generators, lighting fixtures).
  • •Review SLDs plus protection and metering diagrams, switchgear scheme drawings and logic diagrams, including relay settings and protection coordination, and cable sizing.
  • •Review electrical layouts such as raceways, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and switchyard layouts.
  • •Apply working knowledge of electrical system studies (short circuit, load flow, motor starting, voltage drop calculations) using ETAP software.
  • •Lead by example to ensure QMS and project lifecycle compliance; participate in meetings and support site visits as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •8-12 years of experience in basic and detailed electrical works design for combined cycle and substation projects, preferably in an engineering consultancy firm.
  • •Good knowledge of electrical systems and physical design principles, including coordination with other technical disciplines.
  • •Exposure to IEC, US, Euro, or other foreign codes/standards and middle east local practices.
  • •A recognized degree in electrical engineering (from an accredited college or university).
  • •Interdisciplinary knowledge to coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil and Commissioning teams.
