Job Summary

Lead a solution engineering team that partners with account and sales leaders to drive technical stages of the sales process for State and Local Government customers. You will mentor and coach team members, build relationships with enterprise decision-makers, and present solutions that demonstrate ArcGIS and geospatial analysis delivering business value. Own conceptual solution design, configuration guidance, and complex strategy development, while enabling others to present at conferences and executive engagements.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage technical activities of the solution engineer team by partnering with account and sales managers across technical stages of the sales process.
•Mentor and coach team members with clear direction and regular feedback, building a virtual team to support sales objectives.
•Present, demonstrate, and support the selling of Esri software and solutions as part of the account team, including leading technical meetings.
•Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert of ArcGIS, developing complex solutions using advanced knowledge of sales strategies and initiatives.
•Design presentations and provide configuration guidance and best practices for technical and non-technical audiences, including conference and executive engagement support.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience using Esri technology to create maps, perform spatial analysis, and configure web applications.
•3+ years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team.
•Advanced understanding of current GIS technology, including the full ArcGIS system, to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use across industries.
•Broad IT-context knowledge of ArcGIS (e.g., hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, cloud computing).
•Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design, and actively participating in a sales process.
