Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and analyze rail signaling systems for transit and heavy rail using CBTC and traditional relay-based systems, including braking calculations, control tables, schematics, and phasing plans
  • •Produce detailed calculations, drawings, and rail signaling design documentation for procurement and construction purposes
  • •Conduct detailed checks of signals and circuit designs within the team or via third-party sources through clients
  • •Create and validate signaling schemes compliant with industry standards, client specifications, and relevant Rail Operation Rules
  • •Interact with clients on technical topics, manage schedules and budgets, and motivate/mentor junior staff

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 89,200 - 130,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • •Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility to apply
  • •Minimum 5 years of railway signaling experience in both CBTC and traditional relay-based systems
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • •Working knowledge of CROR, AREMA, and Transport Canada GCR/GCS requirements
