Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of cybersecurity engineers focused on rapid response to active threats against Starshield systems.
  • •Implement Starshield’s cyber defense strategy, including continual assessment of cyber threats and development of countermeasures.
  • •Run red-team style exercises and lead vulnerability discovery efforts, including internal bug hunts and culture of continual curiosity.
  • •Improve incident discovery and response by collaborating with teams that build internal security event detection systems.
  • •Work across teams to deliver results, partnering with engineers implementing security features and developing internal incident discovery tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer security, or a similar field, and 7+ years of professional cybersecurity experience for active production systems; or 10+ years in cybersecurity for active production systems.
  • •Experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • •Experience implementing systems for adversary detection and incident response.
  • •Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
  • •Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
