Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and own the overall mechanical engineering philosophy for gas-fired power plants, including rotating equipment and balance-of-plant standards, redundancy/sparing philosophy, and design margins.
  • •Lead plant-level system and process engineering from concept through execution, including fuel gas system configuration, balance diagrams, and cycle analysis for SCGT/CCGT/gas engine plants.
  • •Provide technical leadership and govern selection/integration of prime movers and major equipment (gas turbines, gas engines, HRSGs, steam turbines where applicable, compressors, pumps, fans, and auxiliaries).
  • •Own mechanical scope for BOP thermal systems (fuel gas, cooling systems, lube/seal oil, compressed air/utilities, and below/above-ground piping) to support high availability and long-term reliability.
  • •Govern EPC/OEM/Owner’s Engineer deliverables by reviewing, challenging, and approving mechanical and piping criteria/specifications, equipment bids and datasheets, stress/vibration/fatigue analyses, and civil foundations/earthwork.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • •10+ years of power plant mechanical engineering experience across EPC, OEM, or owner-side roles.
  • •Proven experience with gas turbine and/or gas engine power plants, including thermal systems and rotating equipment.
  • •Experience acting as a discipline lead or technical authority (strongly preferred).
  • •Deep knowledge of mechanical reliability, fatigue/vibration, plant availability and lifecycle cost drivers; familiarity with ASME, API, ISO, and OEM standards; PE license.
