Key Responsibilities

  • •Own utilities engineering design requirements for assigned projects, including planning, analysis, design, and drawing production.
  • •Coordinate efforts between services and disciplines and work with the Project Team Lead or Project Manager.
  • •Develop and coordinate the Combined Services Route (CSR) for road and rail projects.
  • •Design draw pits and minimum bend radius for conduits, and transfer services information from providers and Dial Before you Dig drawings.
  • •Develop quality design documentation and adhere to prescribed design standards and quality procedures under senior/principal review.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Civil Engineering degree.
  • •At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • •Experience with geometric design of utilities using Civil 3D, 12D, Open Roads, Dynamo, Open Rail, ProjectWise, or similar tools.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel (desirable).
  • •Extensive knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, local road authority standards, and utility provider standards, with understanding of safety-in-design for road safety outcomes.
