Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop internal tools, CLIs, and APIs (primarily in Go and Python) that enable infrastructure self-service and automate complex workflows
  • •Build integrations across infrastructure systems including CMDB/IPAM (NetBox), secrets management (HashiCorp Vault), hypervisor APIs (Proxmox), monitoring, and CI/CD into automated workflows
  • •Architect and maintain large-scale Ansible roles and playbooks across many datacenters, improving idempotency, error handling, and test coverage
  • •Design and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for infrastructure automation, including testing, safe rollout patterns, drift detection, and rollback
  • •Automate Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, bare-metal server lifecycle, observability/remediation workflows, and PCI-DSS compliance automation

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in an SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role with a strong emphasis on writing code and automation
  • •Proficiency in Python for building CLI tools and APIs (Flask/FastAPI or equivalent) and automation frameworks
  • •Expert-level Ansible skills including custom role development, module/plugin authorship, and CI/CD integration
  • •Solid Linux systems knowledge (RHEL/CentOS) with the ability to debug failures and design robust automation
  • •Production experience with self-hosted Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation (GitLab CI preferred)
