Job Summary

Maintenance Inspector for Intelligent Transportation Systems responsible for inspecting ITS field equipment, supervising electrical maintenance contractors, enforcing technical specifications, reading plans, and coordinating maintenance activities. Will deploy and program PVMS, CCTV, and radar trailers, maintain equipment inventory, prepare inspection reports, and be available after hours for emergencies in the Hauppauge, NY Transportation Management Center environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect field equipment and supervise electrical maintenance contractors to enforce contract technical specifications.
•Read plans and implement Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) as required.
•Prepare inspection reports detailing equipment used, hours, and maintenance actions.
•Tows, deploys and programs PVMS, CCTV, and radar trailers per manuals and field training.
•Coordinate maintenance inspections and repairs with NYSDOT shop and notify equipment needs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 47,700 - 85,500 annually
