Job Summary

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete to Ohio construction sites according to dispatcher/plant manager instructions. Handle deliveries with difficult access points, maintain clean equipment, and perform pre-/post-trip vehicle inspections. Follow OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe operating practices, use required PPE, complete delivery tickets, manage customer interactions and transactions, and operate with tablet/GPS tools as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
•Maintain safe, clean work areas and vehicle condition, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
•Maintain communication with the Dispatcher or Plant Manager, check delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete required paperwork/signatures.
•Collect money from customers and record transactions; respond to basic customer questions about product knowledge and concrete instructions.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid minimum Class B CDL.
•High school diploma preferred or equivalent; or at least 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience combination.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
•Must meet physical requirements including safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and performing tasks like climbing, standing, walking, and bending.
