Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, simulate, and model electro-optical building blocks for silicon photonics solutions.
  • •Design, simulate, and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems, including specification derivation for PIC/EIC subsystems.
  • •Develop analog/mixed-signal/RF/microwave circuits in SiGe or CMOS processes.
  • •Perform IC floorplanning and layout, and model package/external parasitic components.
  • •Evaluate, characterize, and measure electrical and optical building blocks; support automated test and production testing/qualification with manufacturing engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • •2+ years of photonics or electro-optical integrated circuit design.
  • •Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering with an emphasis in electro-optics integrated circuit design (preferred).
  • •Experience with simulation tools such as Spectre, ADS, HFSS or Momentum, Ansys Lumerical, and COMSOL (preferred).
  • •Experience designing and analyzing optical building blocks (e.g., MZM, microring modulators) and electrical circuits (e.g., TIA, CTLE, filters) (preferred).
