Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines (gas/diesel), and transmissions.
  • •Inspect, test, and use sound diagnostic judgment (including road testing) to identify and resolve malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and operate the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT and repair documentation, including uploading photos and findings on Repair Orders (RO) using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5 years experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Have a current and valid DOT medical card with the stated required remaining validity window, or be able to complete the required DOT physical.
