Job Summary

Build and evolve Atlassian’s Search Platform powering Rovo Search and search across Atlassian products. Lead technical design-to-launch for large projects, solve complex architecture challenges, and set standards for meaningful code reviews. Work on highly scalable, enterprise-grade search and event-driven data pipelines, improving correctness, robustness, and performance using Java-based stream processing, Kafka/Kubernetes, AWS, and related technologies while mentoring engineers and influencing decisions.

•Experience with Lucene, Solr, or other search technologies.

•Expertise with Java and Java-based stream processing platforms, including using application performance monitoring to identify and fix data processing inefficiencies.
•Experience with Java, Spring, REST, and NoSQL databases; experience building event-driven pipelines with SQS, SNS, and Kafka (including Flink and/or Temporal).
