Job Summary

Build and operate the real-time online feature store that serves ML features to production models with low latency and strong consistency. Own batch and streaming data pipelines, and design Postgres-backed data models and schemas optimized for freshness, performance, and scale. Lead reliability, quality, scalability, and observability for ML-serving infrastructure, partnering with Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Product, and Application teams, while mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and technical design discussions.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and operate the online feature store (real-time ML feature serving layer) delivering low-latency, strong-consistency results.
•Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines to compute, validate, and publish features into online and offline stores.
•Develop data models and Postgres schemas supporting real-time feature serving with focus on query performance, freshness, and scale.
•Serve as a technical leader to improve quality, scalability, reliability, and observability for ML-dependent systems.
•Partner with Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Product Management, and Application Development teams to translate business needs into production-grade solutions.

Salary: CAD 175,000 - 220,000 annually

•Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred), including schema design, query optimization, and operating databases under production load.

•Understanding of reliability and correctness needs for ML-serving infrastructure, including data freshness, training/serving skew, and feature consistency.
•Experience with multi-service architectures and Agile software development.
