Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with leaders across Canada to provide direct on-site support and ensure baseline EHS programs are in place and effective.
  • •Interpret, translate, and implement EHS programs and policies across Canadian sites; support the EHS Management System’s implementation and validation.
  • •Provide compliance assurance through internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance across Canada, including AODA requirements.
  • •Lead incident investigations by validating root cause and driving sustainable corrective actions.
  • •Provide EHS training for designated staff, standardize and improve site EHS committees, and support agency inspection responses (WSIB, WCB, CNSST) and environmental initiatives like zero waste to landfill and resource conservation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management, including developing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures that meet local and national regulations.
  • •Excellent knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental and occupational health legislation and regulations related to industrial safety.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related technical field.
  • •Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) (strongly preferred).
  • •Ability to respond to emergencies and travel 30% of the time.
