Job Summary

Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion and related analog circuitry for robust motor control systems. Partner with teams developing telemetry and flight termination products, building from requirements through integration testing. Guide ECAD layout/routing, define schedules for circuit-level tasks, and lead small teams as a Controls Hardware Electronics SME while ensuring performance across high-voltage, high-power inverter and sensor interface applications.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion and related analog circuitry for motor control systems.
•Support circuit card development from requirements definition through initial integration testing.
•Define schedules for circuit-level tasking and manage schedule concerns.
•Guide ECAD drafters on layout and routing, including assistance with layer stackup definition.
•Lead small teams and act as an SME for controls hardware electronics.

Key Requirements

•Requires a STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced STEM degree and at least 5 years.
•Experience designing, analyzing, testing, and/or simulating motor types such as brushed, BLDC, or PMSM.
•Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
•Analog electronics design experience including FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
•Lab experience using oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
