Job Summary

Senior product management leader responsible for owning Inspiren’s connected system of systems across hardware, firmware, software, and data. Defines system-level requirements, leads cross-functional discovery and hardware phase ownership, and shapes cross-device trade-offs to enable safe, scalable perception hardware. Works with hardware, firmware, software, AI, and implementation teams to drive product decisions from PRD through mass production, influencing business expansion and patient safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the System of Systems: Define and maintain system-level requirements and architecture across all current hardware and future devices. Serve as the authoritative voice on how devices collaborate, communicate, and fail gracefully together.
•Lead discovery on new and existing hardware types: Partner with hardware, software and commercial teams to evaluate sensing technologies and device configurations, assess technical feasibility and regulatory constraints, and tie recommendations directly to business expansion opportunities.
•Lead Hardware Phase Ownership: Own product programs from PRD kick-off through Concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and into mass production. Drive hardware-phase requirements, gate decisions, and cross-team alignment at each milestone.
•Shape Cross-Device Trade-offs: Identify integration gaps, reliability risks, and cross-device dependencies before they become field issues. Surface concrete, well-reasoned trade-off recommendations to engineering leadership.
•Partner with Implementation: Work closely with the implementation team to translate real-world deployment constraints into product requirements—and to quickly triage when systems behave unexpectedly in the field.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of product management experience with deep ownership of hardware-enabled systems, including embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
•Full hardware phase ownership experience: PRD through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production, with direct accountability for system-level requirements and cross-device trade-offs.
•Strong technical foundation in perception and sensing technologies (cameras, radar, thermal, BLE beacons, audio) and ability to translate real-world functionality into complex cross-device system requirements.
•Proven ability to work fluently with hardware, firmware and software engineers on technical requirements, constraints, and system-level trade-offs.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, durable system requirements, technical PRDs, and trade-off analyses for both engineering and leadership audiences.
