Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and extend the dbt Fabric transformation layer and medallion architecture models, including workforce data structures and the row-level security model.
  • •Write clean, portable, high-performing, well-tested SQL using techniques like window functions, incremental loading, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • •Build and maintain automated data quality checks and validation controls, plus an evaluation framework to measure accuracy for pipelines and the analytics assistant.
  • •Maintain and improve Bronze-layer ingestion from HRIS sources through Azure storage and the data warehouse using Python and PySpark notebooks.
  • •Contribute to Power BI semantic modeling (TMDL-defined models, DAX measures, and row-level security) and document rules, models, lineage, and operating procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 98,000 - 168,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Strong SQL skills, including window functions, incremental loading patterns, slowly changing dimensions, and query performance tuning.
  • •Production experience with dbt, including models, tests, macros, and seeds, with a demonstrated commitment to data quality and testing.
  • •Proficiency in Python and experience using PySpark with large datasets.
  • •Hands-on experience with a cloud lakehouse or data platform; Microsoft Fabric is preferred (Databricks, Synapse, or Snowflake valued).
  • •Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD practices, including controlled deployment workflows (Azure DevOps preferred).
