Key Responsibilities

  • •Coach field investigators and ensure quality of primary energy-data collection at identified health facilities, producing reports and an Excel database.
  • •Conduct/supervise energy-health needs assessments for each facility, including power-demand projections for critical and non-critical needs and inventory/functionality comparisons.
  • •Develop techno-economic analyses and solar-system designs per facility, including configurations, sizing/location of PV and battery systems, and wiring/building intervention and cost estimates.
  • •Provide procurement support by preparing technical documentation and terms of reference, advising on procurement approaches, and answering bidder technical clarifications.
  • •Monitor and evaluate solar installation and commissioning: train contractors/staff, review submittals and testing procedures, ensure safeguards compliance, track progress/variations, and submit monthly and final reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced Master’s-level (or higher) degree in electrical engineering with focus on renewable energy systems or a related field.
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant international experience designing, assessing, procuring, and supervising solar PV systems for health facilities or other critical infrastructure.
  • •Demonstrated experience on multi-country/international development projects, preferably in low- and middle-income countries.
  • •Proven expertise preparing technical tender documents and supervising solar energy projects funded by international organizations/development partners.
  • •Fluent English and strong report-writing/documentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
