Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and make decisions on cases escalated for Senior Manager approval.
  • •Provide 1st point of contact/advisory to operational teams on KYC/CDD matters and liaise/escalate for complex cases.
  • •Define and maintain Senior Manager approval escalation criteria for assigned regions, adjusting based on internal/external review findings.
  • •Oversee Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) decision quality, perform routine sample checks, and report insights to the MLRO.
  • •Improve customer due diligence processes and contribute to incidents/complaints and EDD training materials to address local typologies and obligations.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in FinCrime Operations or compliance focused on customer due diligence and risk assessments.
  • •In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF regulations in APAC markets as they relate to customer due diligence (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore).
  • •Experience in first-line FinCrime operations handling complex customer cases, ideally with second-line compliance advisory exposure.
  • •Experience dealing with regulatory inspection/audits and FIU reporting, and knowledge of how to establish policy requirements and ensure adherence.
  • •Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work across shifts and weekends as needed to support APAC regions.
