Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain regular contact with clients to identify appeal opportunities and formulate appeal strategies for the current rating list.
  • •Execute Check Challenge Appeal (CCA) for a variety of property types and clearly communicate outcomes and options to clients.
  • •Develop and maintain client relationships through attendance at meetings and calls.
  • •Carry out site visits as required to support strategic business rates advice.
  • •Meet KPIs set out in client contracts and service level agreements to agreed deadlines and standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold an RICS qualification and demonstrate understanding of the complexities of the Business Rates System.
  • •Apply detailed knowledge of the valuation approach for bulk class properties to execute Check Challenge Appeal (CCA) professionally.
  • •Use working knowledge of business rates legislation and case law to explain matters clearly to clients and junior colleagues.
  • •Demonstrate good interpersonal skills in dealings with clients and colleagues.
  • •Show excellent negotiating and reasoning skills, with strong accuracy, timeliness, and presentation for client reporting.
