Job Summary

Secure Datadog’s platform by tackling high-impact cloud infrastructure and application security risks. Partner with engineers to build and extend Platform Security solutions, enabling teams to implement systemic fixes quickly. Work in a multi-cloud, self-managed Kubernetes environment, using security frameworks and modern best practices to improve authentication, authorization, and API boundary validation, and to enhance Datadog products through internal feedback.

•Solve challenging cloud infrastructure and application security problems using Datadog’s core building blocks and golden paths.
•Enable engineers to build and ship secure solutions quickly by supporting and extending Platform Security solutions.
•Build and extend Datadog’s Platform Security solutions and influence their direction based on security learnings.
•Secure authentication flows, authorization patterns, and input validation at API boundaries.
•Support secure deployment and management mechanisms for software and infrastructure changes in a Kubernetes environment.

Key Requirements

•Have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific field (or equivalent professional experience).
•Implement security solutions to address systemic issues, not just provide security recommendations.
•Proven experience securing enterprise SaaS applications, including authentication flows, authorization patterns, and API boundary input validation.
•Demonstrated experience securing deployment and management mechanisms for software and infrastructure changes.
•Hands-on software engineering experience with code review, including Go, Python, or Rust.
