Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, coordinate, and control multiple landscape architecture and urban design projects from inception through completion.
  • •Lead and contribute to community, cultural, recreation, land-use, infrastructure, and master planning initiatives.
  • •Prepare and oversee high-quality reports, presentations, graphics, and design materials, including site analysis and concept development.
  • •Integrate landscape architecture, planning, engineering, cultural planning, and Indigenous perspectives into coherent project outcomes.
  • •Act as a day-to-day client contact, manage scope/schedule/budget components, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior planners and designers.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus six (6) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • •Professional registration, eligibility for registration, or active pursuit of registration is considered an asset.
  • •7–12 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, planning, community development, Indigenous planning, cultural planning, or related work.
  • •Degree or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Design, Community Planning, or related field.
  • •Registration/eligibility as a Full Member of a Provincial Landscape Architecture Association (with expectation of full membership status within 6 months).
