Job Summary

Join a security-focused team building a zero-trust program for Benchling’s AI biotech platform. You will own IAM, device health, and access controls, deploy macOS MDM and PAM, enforce SSO/OAuth policies, and drive automation and AI-enabled security tooling to reduce manual toil while protecting highly sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the organization’s zero trust strategy end to end, treating identity, device health, network context, and application sensitivity as continuous inputs to access decisions
•Design and maintain least-privilege access patterns, Just-in-Time access, and Privileged Access Management controls
•Deploy, configure, and maintain macOS MDM infrastructure for the fleet to feed device compliance into access decisions
•Enforce SSO-required policies, review OAuth scopes, and audit third-party integration access
•Build processes and tooling to detect shadow IT, unauthorized OAuth app grants, and SaaS tools that bypass identity controls

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 189,000 - 256,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years in a security engineering or IAM-focused role
•Hands-on IdP expertise (preferably Okta) with SSO, SCIM, MFA, Lifecycle Management
•Experience implementing zero trust architecture with continuous verification and least-privilege enforcement
•Strong knowledge of identity protocols: SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SCIM
•Proficiency managing macOS endpoints at scale using an MDM platform (Fleet)
