Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment and investigating irregularities and malfunctions.
  • •Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement safe, reliable fixes to boost equipment reliability and production uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts for timely repairs.
  • •Support a safe work environment and collaborate with other maintenance, operations, production staff, and supervisors.

Key Requirements

  • •Superior troubleshooting skills.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset).
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery, plus experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance.
