Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and lead Africa FSQA strategy aligned to global standards, ESG, and brand priorities, including end-to-end FSQA systems across suppliers, DCs, and restaurants.
  • •Plan and ensure market readiness for new entries while embedding FSQA into design and execution, identifying gaps, and driving cross-functional action plans.
  • •Own supplier approval, onboarding, and performance management; lead CAPA programs and oversee specifications, product validation, and supplier line signoffs.
  • •Lead crisis management, product recalls, and incident response across Africa; approve Alternative Minimum Standards (AMS) using risk assessment and ensure HACCP and related food safety systems.
  • •Coach franchise markets to embed FSQA standards, oversee third-party audits and compliance calibration, and lead/develop the FSQA team across Africa.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • •8–10+ years’ FSQA experience within the food/QSR industry.
  • •Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GFSI standards, FSMA, and environmental monitoring.
  • •Proven experience in supplier management and audit programs, crisis management, and product recall.
  • •Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and experience leading auditor programs (QSR advantageous).
