Key Responsibilities

  • •Continuously improve financial crime prevention infrastructure and systems for measurable customer security impact.
  • •Take end-to-end ownership of projects building and refining controls to prevent scams.
  • •Deliver backend and frontend development for scam prevention and detection systems (80% backend, 20% frontend).
  • •Make data-driven decisions and accelerate product growth by increasing automation levels.
  • •Collaborate across Product, Data Science, and Investigations to engineer robust controls and detection capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework.
  • •Build and design scalable web applications for high-traffic environments, ideally with React for the frontend and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • •Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems.
  • •Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and designing resilient schemas.
  • •Strong code quality fundamentals with a commitment to test-driven development and best coding practices.
