Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform floorplan analysis and create stackups, layout, and footprints.
  • •Coordinate with mechanical engineering to ensure fit and form compatibility with mechanical systems.
  • •Work with thermal engineering to deliver a thermally sound layout.
  • •Partner with SI/PI engineering to ensure the board design is complete and robust.
  • •Drive consistently high-quality layout for manufacturable boards.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong PCB layout experience across digital and mixed-signal boards.
  • •Experience creating floorplans, stackups, and footprints while considering cost and lead-time impacts.
  • •Know stackup technologies and limitations, including controlled-impedance and high-speed routing.
  • •Comfort with PI/PDN fundamentals for robust board design.
  • •Proficiency in a professional layout tool (Altium, Cadence, or similar) and the ability to coordinate with mechanical, thermal, and SI/PI engineering.
