Key Responsibilities

•Select pipe types/sizes and related materials and equipment according to job specifications.
•Inspect worksites for obstructions and plan the installation sequence to avoid obstructions and other workers’ activities.
•Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipe and fittings using appropriate tools and joints (e.g., threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, cemented).
•Mount hangers and brackets, secure pipes to structure, and test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
•Load, transport, unload, and perform minor maintenance of tool cleaning while complying with safety and project rules.

Key Requirements

•May be required to lift and carry items weighing no more than 50 pounds.
•Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions.
•Must be able to move in and around confined and uneven areas.
•Must have adequate hearing to respond to voice commands, alerts, alarms, and job-related noises.
•Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
