Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families at assigned military installations.
  • •Provide education, consultations (including with commanders or other providers), briefings/presentations, and referral resources.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize personal financial management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Use virtual counseling and electronic communication modes (e.g., secure online chat/video teleconference) when authorized.
  • •Manage duty to warn situations and coordinate with leadership through regular individual/group supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may substitute an associate degree plus 4 years' experience, or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
