Job Summary

Lead verification and validation of safety-critical avionics software for DAL A products within the CNS engineering organization. Define and execute verification strategies for navigation systems (ILS, VOR, DSP, GNSS), drive unit/integration/system-level testing for embedded software, and develop automation frameworks and test infrastructure. Use tools like DOORS and JIRA for traceability and requirements-based testing, perform coverage analysis for DO-178B/C, and provide technical mentorship and review support across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership for software verification and validation for DAL A avionics products in the CNS domain.
•Define and execute verification strategies for navigation systems including ILS, VOR, DSP, and GNSS-based solutions.
•Lead development and enhancement of automation frameworks, verification tools, and test infrastructure to improve efficiency and quality.
•Drive unit, integration, and system-level verification activities for embedded avionics software, including requirements-based testing and coverage analysis for DO-178B/C.
•Develop verification procedures and test cases with requirements traceability using tools such as DOORS/JIRA, and support certification activities, audits, and defect resolution.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical/Aerospace/Communication Engineering (or related technical discipline).
•9–14 years of experience in avionics software development, V&V, or safety-critical embedded systems.
•8+ years hands-on with C/C++ and Python for embedded software development, automation, and verification.
•8+ years working with DO-178B/C and aerospace software certification processes.
•5+ years developing and executing software verification plans, test strategies, procedures, and validation activities.
