Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the technical focal point to align NTD data collection and reporting tools and standard procedures with WHO HQ, national programmes, and partners.
  • •Lead integration of data into the ESPEN Data Portal and collaborate with CM-NTD data management focal points on data and information management.
  • •Develop and oversee data backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies, proactively mitigating cybersecurity and data quality risks to ensure system resilience.
  • •Implement data-sharing agreements, access controls, and confidentiality protocols; develop and manage APIs and data visualization tools for interoperability and user experience.
  • •Conduct rapid assessments of existing tools and data-warehouses, support improvements to data collection (JAPs and GNARF), and train country data managers and national NTD programmes to strengthen data management capacity.

Key Requirements

  • •First university degree in Computer sciences, Information Systems, or Information Technology, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
  • •Minimum five (5) years of experience in public health data management and analysis at national or international level.
  • •Five years of experience managing and utilizing programme data (preferably public health related programming) for decision-making.
  • •Experience working with National NTD Programmes.
  • •Good knowledge of database, data warehouse, and data-driven application architecture design, development, and implementation.
