Job Summary

Work with a Lead Lawyer in the Casualty team to manage a caseload of complex EL/PL injury claims for insurance clients. You’ll communicate with clients, conduct forensic quantum analysis, review medical records, and identify liability and evidence gaps. Draft technical advice, pleadings and applications, interview witnesses, and instruct counsel. Maintain case management systems and support compliance with SRA standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a caseload of complex injury claims, including high value multi-track matters, working with the Lead Lawyer.
•Communicate with insurer clients, addressing queries and providing updates as matters progress.
•Perform forensic analysis of quantum evidence: prepare chronologies, identify anomalies, and surface relevant information across evidence sources.
•Review medical records to identify key personal injury issues for instructing medical experts, and analyze liability evidence gaps.
•Draft technical advice, pleadings and applications; interview witnesses; liaise with parties and instruct counsel as needed.

•Experience of liability and quantum (essential).
•Experience of personal injury in casualty claims (preferred).
•Critical thinking and quantum analysis experience.
•Understanding of case law and litigation practice, including Court Practice Rules.
