Job Summary

Lead DFT engineering efforts within AMD’s centralized ASIC design group, optimizing and standardizing Design-for-Test (DFT) and Design-for-Debug (DFD) features for complex APU, GPU, and game console products. Implement and deploy automated DFT design flows, run design checks with industry and in-house tools, and deliver scalable Perl, Python, and TCL automation. Debug regression failures, analyze coverage, and develop in-house automation, utilities, and AI/ML-enabled applications.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of DFT engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
•Understand DFT architecture and implement DFT features in complex SoC ASIC design or IP subsystems.
•Implement and deploy automated design flows and setup/execute design checks using industry standard and in-house tools.
•Deliver Perl, Python, and TCL scripts to provide scalable solutions for DFT implementation.
•Monitor CAD and/or IP regression results, debug failures, analyze coverage, and develop in-house automation and AI/ML applications.

Key Requirements

•Experience with Perl/Python/Shell scripting, C++, and SQL.
•Experience with AI/ML applications.
•Good object-oriented programming skills.
•Digital circuits and VLSI knowledge.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering or Electrical Engineering.
