Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect, select, and prepare lifting and rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, chains, wire ropes, spreader beams, hooks, and accessories.
  • •Conduct pre-use inspections and remove damaged, defective, or uncertified equipment from service.
  • •Participate in lifting operations per approved lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • •Ensure loads are properly rigged by considering center of gravity, load weight, lifting capacity, and configuration; verify accessory suitability.
  • •Maintain safe exclusion zones, monitor working radius and hazards (load swing, overhead obstructions, power lines), and stop lifts when unsafe conditions are found.

Key Requirements
