Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and material handling equipment during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and complete preventive and corrective maintenance per Army technical manuals.
  • •Repair and service engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems; maintain MHE such as forklifts and cranes.
  • •Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms and systems, and maintain work orders and job completion records in ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance.
  • •Coordinate with supply technicians and inspectors during mass turn-in events to support equipment readiness for storage, transfer, or disposal.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance standards and technical manuals, including PMCS.
  • •Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems; read TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • •Proficiency with Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army and use of Army-approved maintenance documentation/forms.
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
