Job Summary

Oversee the integrity of accounting records and monthly closing, including reviewing vouchers, accrued expenses, depreciation, trial balance, and bank/vendor reconciliations. Ensure transactions are correctly mapped in the GL and support strategic client account activity where relevant. Maintain internal controls, comply with accounting and reporting regulations, and lead planning for accounting policies while supporting HSE/IMS initiatives and incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained in line with policies, chart of accounts, and accounting principles; confirm subordinate ledgers reconcile to the general ledger.
•Review and approve vouchers prepared by accountants, ensuring transactions are booked to the right cost code and cost center; ensure thorough voucher review.
•Review accrued expenses monthly and manage the depreciation process for fixed assets to ensure correct depreciation expense direction.
•Prepare the monthly trial balance and review monthly bank reconciliations for current accounts and bank liabilities after treasury preparation.
•Review vendor reconciliations and ensure module transactions are linked to the right GL accounts; support strategic client account management and HSE initiatives/incident reporting aligned with company and IMS policies.

Key Requirements

•Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained according to accounting policies, chart of accounts, and accounting principles, with subordinate ledgers reconciling to the general ledger.
•Review and sign vouchers (e.g., BPV, CPV, JV, RV) to ensure transactions are booked to the correct cost code and cost center, and ensure all vouchers are thoroughly reviewed.
•Review accrued expenses monthly and oversee the depreciation process for fixed assets, ensuring depreciation expenses align with the correct cost driver.
•Prepare the monthly trial balance and review monthly bank reconciliations for current accounts and bank liabilities after treasury preparation.
•Have knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and possess SAP ERP functional skills as needed.
