Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer role within HSBC's Asia & Middle East Technology team. Key Responsibilities

•Specialized with Core banking product features or mainframe development.
•Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective.
•Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise, best practice and learnings.
•Provide support in identification and resolution of incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by DevOps leadership.
•Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all software solutions delivered.

Key Requirements

•University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
•Over 5 years solid working experience in IT, or knowledge in Core Banking industry will be an advantage.
•Experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL is necessary.
•Strong analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills; able to work under pressure, enthusiastic and quick to learn.
•Self-motivated and able to work independently with effective interpersonal and English communication skills.
