Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical systems (e.g., engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials) plus electrical/brake/cooling and related equipment.
  • •Use test instruments and road tests to identify malfunctions, then apply sound judgment to determine and validate appropriate corrective actions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory on the company service truck and conduct safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and findings by completing DOT and repair order documentation, uploading work photos, and communicating approvals/estimate details with management and support teams.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination such as further degree/certification or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Supply and use a set of hand tools required to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
