Job Summary

Build scalable, secure infrastructure that accelerates AI agent development. You’ll design and develop core backend services, APIs, and microservices; create orchestration frameworks for multi-step agent workflows; and build evaluation, reliability, and observability capabilities. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in a newly formed AI Platform team to improve quality, speed, and cost of AI features across Mixpanel and for customers.

•Design and develop core backend services, APIs, and microservices to help product teams securely leverage AI models.
•Build scalable frameworks and tools for multi-step agent workflows, including task decomposition, tool invocation, and persistent memory.
•Develop evaluation and reliability systems to measure reasoning quality, hallucination rates, and task success.
•Architect high-performance serving infrastructure with guarantees around latency, throughput, cost-efficiency, and error handling.
•Ensure monitoring, structured logging, and distributed tracing across deployed AI models, collaborating across teams and mentoring junior engineers.

•Familiarity with techniques to optimize AI agents, including eval frameworks, vector search, context engineering, and prompt engineering.
