Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with design engineers on physical design verification and physical implementation for some ASICs.
  • •Work on memory interface simulation for GDDR7, HBM, and UCIE.
  • •Contribute to discrete and embedded hardware products and chip-to-chip interconnect work.
  • •Participate in RTL design in Verilog and support synthesis with timing-driven placement and design for power (DFP).
  • •Assist with floorplanning, power/clock distribution, place & route, EM/IR analysis, timing closure, and static timing analysis.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 67,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a Canada-based Bachelor’s program majoring in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or a related field.
  • •Strong semiconductor device physics knowledge and experience with digital/logic circuits and VLSI.
  • •Hands-on knowledge of Verilog or VHDL hardware description languages and exposure to UVM methodologies.
  • •Experience with scripting and software tools such as Python, Perl, TCL, Ruby, Shell/UNIX scripting, C/C++, or MATLAB.
  • •Knowledge/experience across ASIC design, Linux/Unix environment, physical design (PD) process, and chip-level design/integration and DFT.
