Key Responsibilities

  • •Set overall Finance strategy and governance for HSBC Taiwan across reporting, control, and performance management.
  • •Govern financial reporting and local regulatory reporting to ensure high-quality regulator and Group submissions.
  • •Chair ALCO and steer liquidity, funding, and capital decisions in line with Group requirements.
  • •Establish a robust financial control framework to preserve balance-sheet integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • •Oversee statutory audit, regulatory inspections, and ongoing engagement with auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.

Key Requirements

  • •Substantial senior Finance experience across financial reporting, local regulatory reporting, and tax compliance in a regulated banking environment.
  • •Proven ownership of financial controls and governance, including asset, liability, and capital management with liquidity, funding, and capital planning.
  • •Strong capability partnering with senior stakeholders, including country leadership, the Local Board, and governance forums such as OPCO.
  • •Experience overseeing statutory audit, external auditors, and ongoing engagement with regulators and tax authorities.
  • •Professional accountancy qualifications (or equivalent demonstrable experience) and ability to hire, develop, and guide Finance teams.
