Senior Fire Protection Engineer specialising in Fire Fighting Systems design for a consultancy environment, based in multiple UK offices. You will design, calculate and propose fire safety solutions, undertake surveys, produce reports, and support day-to-day project management while coordinating with clients and project teams on varied scale projects.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Lead FP design on projects, supporting the lead FP engineer on complex projects and preparing design packages for various RIBA stages (drawings, specifications, reports, hydraulic calculations).
•Create Fire Suppression System solutions for multiple applications at all design stages and perform calculations including sprinkler water supplies and gaseous agent quantities.
•Support remote project-delivery teams and conduct technical reviews to solve design issues.
•Perform field investigations or inspections and communicate effectively with project teams, clients, authorities, contractors and other stakeholders.
•Support the project manager on projects of varying scale, delivery and technical assurance.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree or professional qualification
•Experience in consultancy or related industries
•Knowledge of British & International standards and Building Regulations
•Experience with Fire Suppression Systems (Sprinklers, Water Mist, Gaseous Suppression, Risers, Hydrants, Hose Reels, Hypoxic Systems)
•Software proficiency (Word, Excel, CAD, Revit, hydraulic tools)
