Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and mentor a local team of traffic design and operations professionals, including performance guidance and development.
  • •Provide traffic engineering technical expertise and support for engineering and design on client projects.
  • •Lead traffic-focused projects and traffic tasks within multidisciplinary projects.
  • •Leverage client relationships to cross-sell WSP services and support business development.
  • •Stay current on latest traffic engineering techniques and practices while ensuring QA/QC, budgets, cost and quality control, and project objectives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •12+ years of traffic engineering/design experience, including traffic signal/illumination construction drawings, signing/channelization, ITS, and work zone traffic control.
  • •Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Staff and project management experience.
  • •Advanced proficiency in traffic engineering principles, design/build, operational analyses, and applying standards to DOT approvals and permitting.
