Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement features and performance improvements for highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.
  • •Develop, maintain, and test code, including participating in design and code reviews.
  • •Collaborate with peers, product managers, customer support, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, performant, scalable product outcomes.
  • •Identify and fix performance and scalability challenges, and make Fivetran reliable and secure for customers’ data infrastructure.
  • •Participate in periodic on-call rotation and mentor junior developers.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software industry experience solving complex engineering problems.
  • •Experience designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend.
  • •Hands-on experience with object-oriented/systems languages such as Java (or C++/C#/etc.).
  • •Experience with distributed systems and cloud security concepts.
  • •Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), plus testing and troubleshooting.
